The pavillion is the result of a collaboration between the office and the prominent Italian artist Carla Accardi, promoted by Fondazione Volume! as one of the installation for the future Parco Nomade close to Corviale Housing Complex.
The project originates from the desire to create a pavilion as a process of three-dimensionalization of the complex geometric patterns inherent in Carla Accardi’s aesthetic language, thus enabling an immersive experience in her work. The pavilion consists of an orange base and a series of transparent volumes with opaque green cover surfaces. The transparent volumes rest on the base, defining a labyrinthine space inside and making the pavilion itself a place, an open, permeable space free to be traversed. Thanks to the complete transparency of the volumes, the covering elements appear suspended, projecting the shadow of this graphic pattern on the ground, according with the different hours of the day.
