The building of the new Rehearsal Hall presents itself as a grand urban scenography—a backdrop for the city as much as for the stage. Conceived as a simple and functional volume, it is constructed through a robust structure of steel and concrete, and wrapped in a shimmering skin of aluminum panels. These panels, slightly detached from the outer walls and supported by an aluminum substructure, lend the building a sense of lightness and suspension. The façade becomes a living surface, articulated by variations in material expression. Micro-perforated panels are placed in front of the windows, acting as solar screens that filter light like a delicate veil, while solid, corrugated panels define the blind walls, catching and reflecting the changing light throughout the day. The result is a dynamic, ever-shifting envelope that responds to both interior functions and the rhythms of the sun. Architecturally, the building appears as a fragmented yet cohesive whole—its façades in constant dialogue with their environment, embodying a balance between structure and atmosphere, performance and repose. It is not merely a container for theatrical rehearsal but a spatial composition that performs its own subtle play, expressing the movement, opacity, and transparency inherent to the world of performance itself.
