HOUSING COMPLEX, CAROUGE – 2012

The project organizes a social housing complex through the combination of six stepped buildings. The buildings are disposed on the site to create the typical alternation of spaces of urban layouts. The arrangement of the buildings allow to guarantee to each of them the best exposure. Each builndig is characterized by different shapes and materials, but due to the similar proportions and volumes it is always possible to recognize the intervention as a unique. The public life of the site gravitates around a free shaped garden which is the heart of the plant, set at the cross of the two main paths of the area. The common facilities overlook these pedestrian spaces: the basements and the first floors are totally filled with commercial spaces, facilities and offices.
