This project was designed to experiment with the possibilities of intermingling the activities of the new museum with the life of the city. The structure of the museum is conceived as a territorial device, or organizer of urban space. A forest of pillars invades the urban void, towering over all of the preexisting elements and delineating a public space roofed with a large transparent ceiling. The artificial wood covers the slightly tilted plane configuring this public space both as a large theatre/ arena that welcomes everyday life into it and as a museum to explore.
