Savage Architecture at AA in London

We are glad to announce that from February 26th until March 23rd we’ll exhibit our recent collaboration with Gian Piero Frassinelli (member of the Florentine collective Superstudio) at Architectural Association in London.

The exhibition, entitled SAVAGE ARCHITECTURE, is curated by Davide Sacconi and accompanied by a Black Square Press publication, available from the AA Bookshop.

Looking at the intersection between architecture and anthropology from the point of view of the project, SAVAGE ARCHITECTURE presents four episodes that depart from Frassinelli’s unpublished proposal for an Anthropology Research Center (1968), lingers on the dystopian scenarios of The Twelve Ideal Cities (1972), and culminates in the recent collaborative projects of Frassinelli and 2A+P/A for the Budapest Ethnographic Museum (2014) and the Central Archive of Human Cultures (2015).

On February 26th Gian Piero Frassinelli and 2A+P/A will be at the Italian Institute of Culture to present and discuss the exhibition together with Jacopo Benci (British School at Rome), Markus Lahteenmaki (Drawing Matter) and Sam Jacob (Sam Jacob Studio).

For more information and tickets please visit Architectural Association and ICI London websites.
