Architecture of collage

We are going to participate in the international symposium Architecture of Collage, conceived and moderated by Berlin-based curator Lukas Feireiss, to investigate the idea of collage as an artistic strategy and an inspiration for architectural exploration. With this in mind, the symposium re-evaluates spatial production modes beyond disciplinary boundaries and protocol, together with prolific international architects, researchers, urbanists and editors, such as Gian Piero Frassinelli, founder of Superstudio, the artist and co-founder of the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) Madelon Vriesendorp or architect and urbanist Winy Maas of MVRDV. The symposium Architecture of Collage thereby aims to further investigate the epistemological surplus of the collage in architecture as a cultural narrative that extends and reinterprets preceding narratives.
