OFFICE HEADQUARTER, LEGANES, SPAIN - 2009 DESIGN TEAM: 2A+P/A (Gianfranco Bombaci, Matteo Costanzo) with Tommaso Arcangioli This building is conceived as a form extruded from a zigzag-shaped section. In this way, the amount of surface capable of collecting solar energy is increased. The east and west façades are covered by a geometric grid of brise-soleil, while the south and north ones employ the sloping system of a double-glazed skin. In the square in front of the building, a great yellow staircase defines the entrance located on the underground floor. The functions are developed through different layouts for each floor, and the roof is designed as a garden that can be accessed via by a polycarbonate dome.
